Ana Maria Ortiz, age 92, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2023, to be reunited with her husband, son Danny, parents, brother, sisters, and countless friends. She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1953.

Ana Maria was self-taught and a woman of many talents. She was a master in arts and crafts, an astute saleswoman, talented cook, and tireless volunteer within her church and community. But it was in her role as mother of nine children that she was most proud. She was the matriarch of four surviving generations and never faltered in her dedication to her family.

Visitation Monday, May 1, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Little Sisters of the Poor, 2325 North Lakewood Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60614. Masks are required and minors under the age of 17 are not allowed. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.
