Obituary

Anne Donnelly Koch, Matriarch, Philanthropist, Feminist, Arts Patron, Bears Fan, Accomplished Bridge Player, Dear Friend and Mentor, Beloved mother and "The Anne" died April 5 2014 at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Ms. Koch, a native Philadelphian,  adored her stunning adopted city of Chicago for over 40 years.  She is predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Koch Sr and her son, Mark Uhler.  She is survived by her son, Robert W. Koch Jr and his children, Kelly, Robert and Matthew Koch. She is also survived by her daughter, Amy Koch-Oman, her son-in-law, David Oman and grandchildren, Alexander and Annabelle.  Other grand children include, Reina, Louis, Robert and Ross Uhler.  In addition, she is survived by her former daughters- in- law, Jane Friedberg Uhler Goodman, Leah Prale Uhler, and Mary Blazer Koch. She was the beloved Aunt to Karen, Kate, Nancy, Eileen, Susie, Joan and Butch Flannery. The family is also dearly grateful for the years of care and dedication of Evita Oxom as well as dear friends who exponentially improved her quality of life. Special thanks to Rumy Varbanova for her kind care in the last few months.
Ms. Koch was a docent at the Museum of Contemporary Art for many years.   She was on the Circle for Contemporary Art at the Art Institute of Chicago, a member of The Arts Club, The Chicago Yacht Club, The International Women's Club and a former member of The Women's Athletic Club.

A memorial will be held at the Chicago Yacht Club, 400 E. Monroe on May 3, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m.  Parking is limited but there is a public garage at Millenium Park Garage at 5 S. Columbus Drive.   For further information 312-421-0936.
