Caitlin Walch
Tracey
October 27, 2024
Caitlin Walch Tracey, 36, of New Buffalo, Michigan was born into this world on May 29, 1988, and born into eternal peace on October 27, 2024.
Taken from us far too soon, she was a force of nature – vibrant, bold, and always ready to make you laugh until your sides hurt. Her sassy attitude, infectious energy, and unapologetic joy for life touched everyone she met. Caitlin, or CT, as some may know her, had a way of lighting up a room, whether with her quick wit, her unmistakable laugh, or her unfiltered honesty.
Caitlin led a dynamic life. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows Grade School and Mercy High School both in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She became a Spartan, attending Michigan State University, where she graduated in just 3 years with a Business Degree in Hospitality Management. Caitlin followed her beloved sister Carly to Chicago after graduation, where the two lived next door to each other. She mastered the art of cooking, loved to travel, and had an incredible eye for design and fashion. Always on the move, she decided to switch careers and rose in the field of Data Analytics, and ultimately became a Chief People Officer. In every academic and professional setting, Caitlin always made her presence known with her intellect and ability to foster connections.
She was adored by her loving parents, Monica (Walch) and Andrew Tracey, her big sister (Carly), brother-in-law (Mark) and nephew (Lincoln) of Chicago, IL.
She will be greatly missed by her Grandmother (Fern Walch), of Waterford, MI, Uncles Mark Walch (Kathy), Michael Walch (Joyce Keller), Matthew Walch (Jacqui) and Dennis Tracey (Mary Beth), Aunts Marcia Bawol, Mary Wisniewski (Dan), Sandy Tracey (Larry Shore) and Patti Beyer (Dean) and numerous cousins.
She touched many lives throughout her life, and though she is gone from this world, her vibrant energy and personality will never be forgotten. She may have left us too soon, but the impact of her spirit will live on in every story, every inside joke, and every moment we shared with her.
Family and friends will meet on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Old St. Patrick's Church, 700 West Adams Street, Chicago, Illinois 60661 for a 9:00 a.m. Visitation followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass.
