Franciszek Turek, age 73, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2021 in Gary, Indiana. Franciszek Turek, aka "Frankie," was born in Kolbuszowa, Poland in 1947. He met and married Maria Bolek in Chicago in 1967. In the early 1970's he was a church organist at St. John Cantius Church and then later worked as a Building Maintenance Engineer for JHM Properties for over 35 years in Chicago's Near North.

He is survived by wife Maria Turek; children Michelle, Bernadette (John), and Agnieszka (Kamil); brother Marian; sisters Stasia and Wladyslawa; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral Mass Monday, August 9, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius Church, 825 North Carpenter Street, Chicago, Illinois 60642. Interment Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, Illinois.
