Gary Hochsprung Martin. Born in Brighton Park to Alice and Ernest Hochsprung. He attended Immaculate Conception Grade School, St. Ignatius High School, and graduated from Lewis University and Southern Illinois Law School. He worked as a Cook County Public Defender from 1978 to 1987 and lived in Phoenix, Arizona from February 1988 until November 1998 where he worked as a public defender in Maricopa County. He worked for the State of Illinois and private practice from 1998 until his death. He was involved in the Cara running program and Lakeshore Sailing. He completed the Bank of America marathon in 2004 and 2006. He was also involved in the Knights of Lithuania and Make a Wish Foundation. Gary is survived by his soul mate, cousins, and close friends.

Visitation Friday, October 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Old St. Patrick's Church, 700 W. Adams St., Chicago, IL 60661 until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Elmhurst, Illinois.
