Mrs. Hilda M. Galiano, née Páramo Proaño, age 75, joined her Creator with her friends and entire family by her side on February 26, 2012. This extraordinary woman was born on March 4, 1936 in Quito, Ecuador and resided in Oak Brook, IL, USA. Devoted and dedicated wife of Dr. Jaime A. Galiano for 52 years; loving daughter to the late Segundo Reynaldo Páramo and Maria Luisa Proaño de Páramo; fond sister to Hernán (deceased), Fanny (deceased), Herminia, Nelson Efraín, Héctor Rubén, Jaime (deceased), and Franklin Páramo Proaño; proud mother to her eight children: Mrs. Yara J. Vega, Dr. Maribel P. Galiano-Goll, Miss Rommy D. Galiano, Dr. Robert D. Galiano, Mrs. Evelyn T. Galiano-Putnam, Mr. J. Vladimir Galiano, Esq., Ms. Cynthia M. Galiano, Mrs. Leslie K. Galiano-Sanchez; beloved mother-in-law to Mr. Carlos A. Vega, Dr. Eric F. Goll, Mrs. Susan Galiano, Dr. John W. Putnam, Mrs. Laura M. Galiano, Mr. Mark A. Ziehr, Mr. J. Javier Sanchez; adoring grandmother to Christopher and Katherine Vega, Dylan, Kelsey and Nicholas Goll, Inès and Olivia Galiano, Geneviève, Lucien and Roman Putnam, Emily Galiano, Madelaine and Gabrielle Ziehr, and Sophia Galiano-Sanchez; and a spiritual guide and angel to many more nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and other family members and friends.

Visitation Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Holy Name Cathedral Chapel, 30 E. Superior St., Chicago from 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00 am at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 N.
