Jack (Jacek) Prawica, age 51, born in Stalowa, Poland, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Husband of 26 years to Tanya Prawica, nee Garrett; father of Chloe, Hanna, Michael, and Lily; son of Stanislaw (Wanda) Prawica and the late Emilia Prawica; brother of Victor (Kasia) and Tom (Ola); uncle of Jacob, Matthew, Emilia, and Julia; also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

In 1981, Jack immigrated to the United States with his parents and brothers, first living in Fairview Heights, Illinois and later moving to Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from DeVry University and later earned his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. Jack was a devoted 30 year employee of Don Sweeney, now deceased, and Marilyn Sweeney at DLS Electronics Systems, Inc. in Wheeling, Illinois.

He was a loving husband, caring father of four, devoted son, skilled engineer, passionate gardener, car enthusiast, and talented handyman. He was also a parishioner and usher at Saint John Cantius Church in Chicago, Illinois, where he gave his time and heart to guard the safety, and protect order, during Masses on Sundays and other Holy Days.

Family and friends will meet on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at St. John Cantius Church, 825 North Carpenter Street, Chicago, Illinois 60642 for a 10:00 a.m. Visitation followed by a 11:00 a.m. Tridentine Requiem Mass. Interment Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, 8600 North Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, Illinois 60714.
