Obituary

James Paul Kaletta, 61, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his home in Chicago surrounded by his family and friends after a long and heroic battle with cancer. Jim, the son of Edward J. Kaletta and Dorothy O'Halloran Kaletta, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 29, 1951. He is survived by his loving wife Lori Rush, brother Tom Kaletta and sisters Ann Leible, Jane Treppler, and Mary Bauer. Jim was preceded in death by his sister Pixie Kaletta Etzkorn.

Jim was a graduate of CBC High School and held an MS, Occupational Safety from Central Missouri State University. He was a respected industrial safety consultant and served large corporations through his company, Safety Management Solutions. He was a frequent speaker at the National Safety Council Congress and the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Jim, who will forever be remembered as "Jimmy", was a golf and fitness enthusiast and a generous and loyal friend who touched the lives of many.

Visitation from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4th at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 W. Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL. Funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5th at Old St. Patricks Church, 700 W. Adams, Chicago.
