John J. Horodecki, beloved husband of Nancy Horodecki nee Hallihan; dear son of the late John J. and Eleanor Horodecki nee Feld; beloved son-in-law of Valentina and the late Joseph Francis Hallihan; beloved brother-in-law of Cathy and Rick Rydzinski, Nadine and Jim Ott, and Joey and Kristin Hallihan; loving uncle of 11 nieces and nephews.

33 years of dedicated service to the City of Chicago. John was active in politics for most of his life. He represented and served the Ukrainian Village Community and its organizations throughout his life. John was President of the Ukrainian American Club. John's absence will be a loss to all who knew him.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. with a Panahyda at 7 p.m. at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 W. Chicago Ave. Funeral Saturday 9 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.
