Jon Mark Stanford, Physician Assistant-Certified and a four-decade parishioner of Holy Name Cathedral, was originally from Wilmette and for many recent years a Gold Coast resident. He was the son of Mary McLendon of Glenview and the late James O. Stanford, Sr.; the brother of Candace (George) Browne of Tucson AZ, James Stanford, Jr. of Boulder CO, the late Lindsey (Gary) Petersen, and the late Robin Smith. In addition to being a godfather, an uncle, great uncle, and cousin, Mark was a very good friend to many people. Our hearts are broken that his larger-than-life smile will no longer be seen in person.

Visitation Monday, August 29, 2022 from 1:15 p.m. until the time of the 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 North State Street, Chicago, Illinois 60654. Both services will be held in the Cathedral. Two-hour free parking is available at 14 W. Superior Street (between Dearborn Street and State Street). Please be sure to take a ticket and utilize any non-reserved parking space on Lower Level One (LL1) or Lower Level Two (LL2). Interment private at Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, Illinois.

August 29 ^th is Mark's birthday: on the same day the Lord gave Mark to us, we return him to the arms of the Lord.
