Rev. Joseph J. Korabik, C.R., age 97. Beloved member of the Congregation of the Resurrection for 80 years and priest for 73 years. Teacher (Math Instructor) at Archbishop Weber High School in Chicago for 45 years. Econ General in Rome from 1949-1965 and was on the Finance Committee of the Congregation of the Resurrection from 1974-1982.
Beloved son of the late Valentine Korabik and the late Anna nee Rapacz; brother of Thaddeus E. (the late Clara) Korabik and the late Louise (the late Edward) Chalupnik; uncle of Karen, Robert (Betty), Joseph (Cheryl), Jerry (Stefanie) Korabik, Debra Agnew, and the late Kathy (Steve) Grembka. Also survived by 14 great nieces and nephews and great great nephew Dylan Jacob.
Visitation Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Nazarethville, 300 N. River Road, DesPlaines, IL. from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow the visitation at 10 a.m. at Nazarethville. Interment St Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Il.
Donations may be made to the Senior Religious Fund, Congregation of the Resurrection, 3601 N. California, Chicago, IL, 60618.
