Kevin T. H. Jones, passed away on March 13, 2019, at the age of 56, after a 4 year battle with CREST Syndrome.

Kevin was born in the Motor City (Detroit) on May 3, 1962, a city that was always a source of pride and held a special place in his heart.  In Detroit, he attended King and Beubien Middle Schools, and Cass Technical High School where he formed many bonds that he kept through the end.  He attended the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) to earn an architectural degree, he transferred to Lawrence Technology, completing his degree and gathering more life long friends.

Kevin moved to Chicago, in 1990, to pursue his architectural dreams and ambitions.  Working in both small and large firms, he was able to explore all facets of art, architecture and design that guided his career and shaped his goal.  His main goal was to own his own firm, and his vision was to make a difference in the lives of others.  Ultimately, he created a firm that focused on design for People with Disabilities.   His impact was beyond what he could even imagine during his 18 years of work with Chicago Public Schools, Chicago Park District and private sector clients.   He was proud to know that he and his firm made a difference for future generations.   As his disease progressed, he evolved his vision and discovered a new path at the Chicago Housing Authority as the Accessibility Specialist II.  Although, he was only there a short time, he made strides in instituting standards for the consulting architects, and continued to positively impact the lives of Tenants through Reasonable Accommodations.  True to his vision, he made sure that each Tenant was respected, understood, and taken care of.  Kevin was the true meaning of a gentleman scholar and renaissance man.  He touched so many lives and he will be truly missed.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Bonnie, nee Kisielowski; brother of Sharon Adams, Reginald Jones, Connie (Bob) Itchon; uncle of Rozelle, Donny Jr., Corey, Jazmin, Gabriela and Marissa; along with cousins and extended family.

Visitation Friday, March 22, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60642.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60642. Please join us at the Celebration of Life by listening to some of Kevin's favorite music and honoring him through stories and viewing pictures. This will be informal, as to give anyone a chance to share how he touched their lives.

Immediately after all are invited to continue the remembrance and celebration of this extremely special soul by joining the family at his home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Refreshments shall be provided.
