Obituary

Margaret "Peggy" Ricklefs, nee Schmidt, age 85. Beloved wife of Marv Ricklefs; dear mother of Cheri (Steve) Obendorf, Steve (Roberta) Ricklefs, Tricia (Jon) Norris, and the late Lori Ricklefs; loving grandmother of Kyle (Rebecca) Obendorf, Kenny Obendorf, Lori Obendorf, Daniel Obendorf, Stefanie (Eric) Danwin, Chris (Brittany) Ricklefs, Tori (Nathan) Iwanski, and Kristin (Dave) Hardy; great-grandmother of Anna Obendorf, Mary Obendorf, James Obendorf, Zack Danwin, Emory Danwin, Alexa Ricklefs, Hailey Ricklefs, and Bryce Ricklefs; fond sister of Jim (the late Jill) Schmidt, Steve (Cindy) Schmidt, and the late Chris (the late Rosalie) Schmidt.

Peggy was a loving big sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who treasured time with her family. She was generous and always ready to help anyone in need. Her grandchildren fondly remember her watching over them while their parents took a much needed break.

She threw great parties and was known for her wide array of tasty appetizers. Christmas cookies were a specialty. She was an avid Neil Diamond fan, attending numerous concerts with her husband and brother. She was excited when Neil's sweat would land on her.

Peggy was very organized - "A place for everything and everything in its place" was a well known directive to her children. Those skills enabled her to support her husband in his business as the Corporate Secretary, and serve in various leadership roles in other organizations.

She enjoyed flying with her husband quipping that she was "good cargo". All kinds of puzzles, golf and game shows were among her favorite pastimes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Everyone loved Peggy.
