Maria Pilar Tollinche, age 81, passed peacefully on June 25, 2023, surrounded by her five children and wonderful caregivers. Maria was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 37 years, Ret. Col. Charles R. Tollinche, MD. Maria was the beloved mother of Maria (Joe) Reed of Lewes, DE, Charles (Denise) Tollinche of Chicago, IL, Luis (Peter Meyer) Tollinche of Cleveland, OH, Evelyn Miller of Bethesda, MD and Felix (Nahva) Tollinche of Chicago, IL. She also leaves behind 11 wonderful grandchildren: Henry (20) and Max (18) Childers, Benjamin (9) and George (8) Miller; Andrea (9), Maria (7) and Charley (4) Tollinche, Joel (9) and Pearl (8) Tollinche; and Brent (8) and Etienne (5) Meyer-Tollinche.

Maria was a dedicated mother, grandmother and wife, wonderful friend and a devout Catholic. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, traveling, massages, shopping and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. (CST) until the time of the 1:00 p.m. (CST) Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 1107 North Orleans Street, Chicago, Illinois 60610.
