On February 14, 2022, MaryAnn Gleason lost her courageous ten-year battle with cancer. She was ferocious in her fight and determination.

The second oldest of four children, she was the first in her family to attend college, and graduated from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.

She became a teacher, and went on to raise her three children Lisa, Kevin, and Tim, in Oak Brook, where she was an active member of the community.

She later moved to Chicago, where she took college classes, was a supporter of social and political causes, and she and Lisa traveled the world.

Along with her three children, she leaves behind eight grandchildren and many other friends and family who will miss her dearly.
