Michael Murphy. The heavenly gates opened on February 26, 2024, to welcome our beloved son, father, brother, and uncle. Mike will always be remembered for his big smile and his sense of humor. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family, friends and participating in and watching sports. We'll always remember Mike for his love of Notre Dame Football. He hadn't missed seeing a home game in person in the last ten years. Attending a game with Mike meant meeting with Notre Dame players, coaches, and fellow loyal fans. They always made their way to Mike to say hello and engage in conversation.

Mike is survived by his parents Laura and Ed; his son Jonathan; his brother Greg; his sister-in-law Carolanne; and his niece and nephew Jaclyn and James. We will think about and miss Mike every day going forward.

Family and friends will meet on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Old St. Patrick's Church, 700 West Adams Street, Chicago, Illinois 60661 for a 9:00 a.m. Visitation followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Parking is available in the building located at 625 West Adams Street, Chicago, Illinois 60661 (entrance is on Desplaines Street - 1/2 block South of the Church on the East side of the Desplaines Street).
