Let us pause to honor the memory of Mr. Patrick Casimir Holland, who passed away at age 74 on Monday, August 17, 2020. Patrick was born on June 1, 1946 to Robert R. and Jean A. (Lipinski) Holland, raised in Madison, Wisconsin. He received his MBA from Lake Forest College and spent the majority of his career in Information Technology, working for companies such as Baxter Healthcare, Kraft, Allstate, and Walgreens. He was a genius with database architecture, well respected in his field as an expert. In 1990, he married Doris Ellen Malek and lived in Glenview, Illinois. They raised two sons, Robert Vincent and James Patrick. Patrick was previously married to Jean Helen Blanke in 1969 and raised their three children, Patricia Jean, Sean Patrick and Christina Faye in Vernon Hills, Illinois.

Patrick was retired, enjoyed fitness, music, movies, reading and spending time outdoors, especially during the summer. He also enjoyed Taekwondo, earning his black belt through his dedication, and helping his school by teaching classes.

Patrick was preceded in death by his father Robert, mother Jean, and brothers Richard and James. Patrick will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Doris; his five children, Patricia (Rafael), Sean (Kirstin), Christina, Robert, and James; his four grandchildren, Brian, Matthew, Gage, and Olivia; his brothers Wayne (June), Martin (Donna), and Robert; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
