An advocate of justice, humble public servant and family stalwart Peter Damien Bormes, Esq. passed Saturday, May 25, 2014 at home surrounded by family and close friends. He was 53.

As a lifelong Public Defender for Cook County, Peter loved the law faithfully and represented those who needed a voice of justice. A guest lecturer, avid White Sox fan a man of civic and Irish pride. Peter, leaves to celebrate his life a beloved wife Deirdre (Curry) Bormes, brothers: Robert, David, Thomas, James, Gregory and sisters Rebecca and the late Margaret Mary. As a doting uncle, Peter's memory is cherished by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Saturday, May 31st at 6:15 p.m. at Assumption Church, 323 West Illinois St., immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at 7:00 p.m.
