Richard "Richie" Costa tragically passed away on January 22, 2022. He was a truly loving son, brother, and friend.

Richie was born in New York City, New York on October 4, 1987. He was raised in Chicago, Illinois with his father Richard Costa; mother Alyce Imbrie; and sisters Katherine, Elizabeth, and Victoria Costa. Richie attended St. Patrick High School and completed his farrier's certification at Midwest Horseshoeing School.

Richie had an undeniable love for people and animals. His journey began at a young age riding horses and driving carriages at the Noble Horse Theater. It was the start of it all.

Richie was a man of many talents and gifts. From launching his own career as a horse shoer, to envisioning and creating his biggest achievement of a live horse performance arts company, Live Horse Entertainment LLC, truly encompassed his life's work and dreams. Richie was through and through dedicated to pursuing his passions and turning his dreams into reality.

Richie had a one-of-a-kind personality. From his charismatic laugh to his larger-than-life attitude, he never failed to leave an impression. His kindness, generosity, and devotion touched all who knew him. Richie was loved by so many.

Richie will be forever remembered as a true cowboy. May he ride into the heavens and rest in eternal peace.

Visitation Monday, January 31, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 North State Street, Chicago, Illinois 60654.
