Obituary

Ronald Andrew Haller, of Lake St Louis, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of LaVerne Haller; cherished son of the late Andrew and Josephine Haller. Devoted father of Stephen (Christiana) Haller and Michelle (Edwin Garcia-Cuevas) McKenzie; loving grandfather of Clare, Mary, Vivian, Emily, Lydia, Andrew, Colette, Therese, Aedán, Aurora, and Rosalie; dear brother of Richard Haller and Kathi (Jerry) Olson. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Brandon McKenzie.

Ron attended the University of Arizona earning his B.A. in Psychology, DePaul University, Auburn University earning his M.Ed., and Trinity University earning his M.S. He was a healthcare administrator for his whole life. Ron started his career in rehabilitation with Easter Seals and Goodwill of America. After receiving his Masters in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, Ron became Administrative Officer, Spinal Cord Injury, at the VA Medical Center, Long Beach, CA. He then transitioned into patient satisfaction consulting, founding his own firm, Quality Focus Resources, Inc. In retirement Ron kept busy by developing a new business, Holy Site Tours, which specialized in organizing pilgrimages to the Holy Land, Europe, and Marian Shrines. He was a member of Rotary Club International, Orange, CA Club, and he was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow for his work advocating polio eradication in Zimbabwe, Africa. As part of Ron's efforts, he spearheaded the founding of a needed medical clinic and the purchase of essential, offroad vehicles for the medical care teams to reach remote villages. Ron had a special gift of connecting with people and seeing the value in all from every walk of life. He grew up golfing with his dad, brother, and neighborhood friends, and he loved to fish. He was a Third Order Carmelite, OCDS and had a great devotion to St. Thérèse of Lisieux and to Carmelite spirituality. Ron was dearly loved by all who knew him.

Visitation Monday, September 9, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Baue Funeral Home - O'Fallon, 311 Wood Street, O'Fallon, Missouri 63366. Family and friends will meet Friday, September 13, 2024, at St. John Cantius Church, 825 North Carpenter Street, Chicago, Illinois 60642 for a 9:30 a.m. Visitation with Rosary at 10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment Chapel Hills Garden West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
