Ronald S. Wos, fell asleep in the Lord, at home December 9, 2013, The Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Ron (called Stanlisauce because of his Polish middle name) was born Feburary 21, 1938 at 5210 S. Hermitage, Chicago. Devoted parents were Frank Wos Sr. and Theresa Szkolny Wos. Ron was the last of five children, and was predeceased by parents and siblings Frank Jr., Alice Frydrych (Ben), and baby brother Norbert. He is survived by sister Dolores (the late Stanley) Skawinski, son Matthew and wife Kathy (Royston), married 42 years.
Ron was a devoted liberal Roman Catholic, democrat and city planner. He took his undergrad and masters at Loyola of Chicago, and was trained in Army intelligence, specialty Russian language.
Ron was a loving and proud uncle to Sharon, Valerian, Michael and Nathan Skawinski; Mark (Subiha) Frederick and their children Sarah, Leah, and Joshua; Norbert (Diana) Frydrych and their children Rebecca, Case, and the late Katrine; Tim Frydrych (Brian Bauer), sons William and the late Daniel.
Say a prayer for this kind man who wanted to help. His final act of charity was being a universal organ donor. It meant the world to him.
Visitation Saturday, December 14 at 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 1:30 p.m. at Old St. Mary's Church, 1500 S Michigan Ave, Chicago.
