Sharon Dressel, born December 2, 1952, age 62. Beloved wife of Donald; dear mother of Melissa (Michael) and Bryan (Chewie); loving grandmother of Cadence and Amelia; devoted daughter of the late Edward and Joane Babcock; fond sister of Susan and Steven.
Sharon brought joy to the lives of everyone she touched. She had an infectious laugh, and was the kind of person who could make a bad day good. She was encouraging and supportive in all aspects of the lives of her loved ones. Sharon and Donald enjoyed 46 years together, living life to its absolute fullest. Once they moved to Chicago, she and Don enjoyed spending their time at the theater, dining out, going to movies, as well as being avid fans of the Bears, Bulls and White Sox. Forever a lover of music, reading, skiing and travel, Sharon made sure to share her loves with her whole family and by doing so made some of their fondest memories. She cherished the time she got to spend with her children and grandchildren. Her friends and family will miss her dearly.
Visitation Thursday, November 5 from 5 - 9 p.m. at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois; supervised parking is available on Ogden Avenue. Family and friends will gather Friday, November 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 North State Street, Chicago, Illinois. Interment Graceland Cemetery, 4001 North Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois.
