Stephen Kraychy, age 93, died October 17, 2021 at his home in Lincolnshire surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary, nee Mills; son James; daughters Kathleen and Susan; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Born in Redwater, Alberta, Canada in 1928. Son of the late Nicholas and Maria, nee Piche, Kraychy. He graduated with honors from the University of Alberta in 1950, and earned his PhD from the University of Wisconsin in 1954. Besides his professional life of over 50 years, Steve's interests included family, flying, photography, fishing, ice hockey, woodworking, camping, etc.

Visitation Friday, October 22, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60642. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at St. John Cantius Church, 825 North Carpenter Street, Chicago, Illinois 60642 for a 10:00 a.m. Visitation and 10:30 a.m. Tridentine Requiem Mass. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
