Terrance Kadechka

Terry was born on March 1, 1943 in Wahpeton, North Dakota to the late Ralph A. Kadechka and Alta Mary (Tisdel) Kadechka. He is survived by three sisters: Gayle Streff, Joyce Arar and Karol Kadechka.
Terry enlisted in the United States Marines. After discharge he used his considerable talent as an artist and designer. He worked as a graphic designer for several large department stores in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Lincoln, Nebraska and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Later he owned and operated his own design studio. He was a talented draftsman, painter and sculptor.
He married Robin Jewett in 1968. The couple divorced in 1977.
Terry loved art and nature. He especially loved to hike in the hills around Deadwood, South Dakota, a place he dearly loved. He was a quiet and thoughtful man with a terrific sense of humor and despite his many losses remained cheerful and positive.
After a serious illness he lived near family in Houston and then in Chicago.
He is survived by three sisters, two brothers-in-law, eight nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Little Sisters St. Mary's Home, 2325 N. Lakewood Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614, on February 13, 2014. Mass 11 a.m.
