Maria Theresa Rodriguez of Chicago, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022, at the age of 95, surrounded by her loving family. Theresa was reunited in death with her husband, Antonio; her parents Emilio and Hercilia de Leon; numerous brothers and sisters; and many, many dear friends. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Edmund) Michel, Antonio, Jr. (Michelle Martin); her five adored grandchildren, Matthew (Jaclyn) Michel and Eric (Abbie Hamilton) Michel and Caroline, Frank and Teresa Rodriguez.

Theresa came to Chicago in 1951 from El Salvador. She was a seamstress by trade, specializing in awnings and boat covers. Sewer of countless hems and alterations for family and friends, she made two, and only two, wedding gowns in her lifetime: one for her daughter and another for her daughter-in-law.

Blessed with a beautiful singing voice and great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Theresa touched many lives. A marvelously faithful, kind and generous lady, wife, mother and pilgrim now rests in peace in everlasting life.

Family and friends will meet on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 3546 North Paulina Street, Chicago, Illinois 60657 for a 9:00 a.m. Visitation followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment private.
