Thomas James Katsoulis, age 69, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016. Husband of Cynthia (Nelson); son of Lena (the late Gus); brother of Larry (Madge); father of Alexis (John) Bilardello, Andrew (Jennifer), and Corey (Kate); grandfather of Cami, Matthew, Oscar, Hendrix, Nick, Elodie, and Tyler; friend to many.
Attended Northern Illinois University, graduated Roosevelt University. Grew up in Morton Grove, went to Niles West High School. Raised his family in Naperville, IL. He enjoyed skiing, beach vacations, and traveling. He was an avid golfer, former member of Edgewood Valley CC, and boater. Tom was a lifelong entrepreneur, founder and former owner of Great Northern Wire and Cable, Jilly's, and Bigg's restaurant. He resided in Naples, FL. He was one of the most magnanimous personalities you'd ever know. He had a big heart and a generous spirit. He was admired and respected by many. Everyone wanted to know him. Everyone who met him loved him. He was the life of the Party.
Visitation Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 N. State St., Chicago, IL 60610 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 2:30 p.m.
